Camellia

“Her delight in the smallest things was like that of a child. There were days when she ran in the garden, like a child of ten, after a butterfly or a dragon-fly. This courtesan who had cost more money in bouquets than would have kept a whole family in comfort, would sometimes sit on the grass for an hour, examining the simple flower whose name she bore.”
? Alexandre Dumas-fils, La Dame aux Camélias

Holding Pattern

I’m a little stalled out on pretty art project. I’ve been working a ton of overtime and we are in major home improvement mode. New floor in the office, waiting for the new woodburning stove. The dishwasher is leaking so we went to replace it and got a washer/dryer on order. This scope creep has caused even more. Probably want to replace the old linoleum with some rocking modern marmoleum.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Standard AutoFocus Lens

I had hoped my new lens would show up in the morning yesterday but it came after 3 pm. I’ll go out with it later today but I snapped a few in my backyard wearing P.J.’s.

Different Day than I Expected

I thought I was taking a quick run to Fred Meyer for pots, exchange library books then back home for Art and Catnap.

The low pressure light went on.  Les Schwab fixed it in about an hour and didn’t charge me. Three Cheers for Les Schwab. There was a screw in the front driver’s side tire. The rear drivers (which they repaired last year) was also low.
