Only a shuffle

April 25th 2007 by Leisa in general

Paul took my car to the Shambhala center tonight. He has a state car because of travel to court and can’t drive it around town. I forgot to get my bag out of the car before he left.

I need to get started on my Mosaic project, I’ve been putting it off for 8 weeks. The art show opens on the 5th of May so I really need to finish them this weekend. I’m feeling lost because my ipod and nano are in my car down town. All I have is my little pink shuffle. I had plans on cutting glass and getting caught up on my podcasts. I’m building a playlist now for my shuffle but I’m not happy about it. I spent many a hours in my glass studio listening to Roddy Frame’s Surf.

Is there life without iPods? I met Jon for coffee on Tuesday and we were talking about the obsolescence of physical media, tapes, cds etc.

I’m going to start producing Robert Place’s Tarot classes and have to decide on media.

The weekend before last I was really uninspired and thought I might stop podcasting. Paul & I played WOW all weekend. I feel re-interested. Here is what people have said about it lately.

  • I finally got an I pod in February and have been working through the Tarot Connection archives. It’s a goldmine of tarot-y goodness!!!
  • I’ve been subscribed to The Tarot Connection for a few months now and am always looking forward to new episodes. Nice surprise to be able to hear Umbrae doing this ‘thang on an all ready great podcast!
  • This was a fascinating episode to listen to. I learned so much.
  • I am listening to a podcast on itunes called the Tarot Connection. I really like it alot because it gives me lots of information and ways to learn both my oracle and is helping me to understand tarot as well..:)
  • I’m only halfway through the current podcast from Tarot Connection, episode 35 which discusses the “music of the spheres” in an interview with Tarot author Liz Hazel, but I’m greatly enjoying it. The interview is chock full of more information than I know what to do with.
  • If you’re a fan of the Tarot and you don’t have time to read through scores of forum posts, you might really enjoy this format. Podcasts are like radio shows that have been recorded and can be downloaded to your iTunes or iPodder software and listened to at your leisure. I’ve looked online for podcasts that were Tarot-centric, but most… even those that claim to be, rarely fulfill their promise. Leisa ReFalo, who just happens to live pretty close to me, is producing regular podcasts on the Tarot. I’ve listened to a couple and can say, unequivocally, that she’s doing something no one else is doing, and she’s doing it beautifully.
