I have been cleaning out my drawers at work and ran across a couple of recipes. Dorothy is a friend of my mothers. I believe I got this recipe from my sister-in-law Becky Lee.
Angel Biscuits from Dorothy Watts
1 ½ tsp yeast
¼ C Warm Water 90-100 degrees
2 ½ C Flour
1/.2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 TBL Sugar
½ C Butter
1 C Butter Milk
Mix Dry ingredients in order. Cut in butter. Stir Buttermilk and warm water. Blend. Turn dough out on floured surface. Knead lightly. (You can refrigerate and roll out later)
Roll out and cut with Biscuit Cutter. Place on greased pan. Let the biscuits rise slightly and cook in 400 degrees oven.
