This was my second year on the Kaiser Hood 2 Coast team. I ran leg #1 and Paul was leg #2. It seemed less nuty than last year. Maybe because I knew what to expect. We had a much later start time (2:15).

Vajra is back
I picked up my poor little beetle last night from Tualatin Auto-Body. They gave me a chocolate beetle and a pink rose for my bud vase. Vajra is better than before the jail break. Smells like fresh paint.
Our 18 mile run was the first time I felt good running in 7 weeks. I’ve been training to run with an upper respiratory track infection. Just in the nick of time since Hood to Coast is Friday. We are in Van #1 I am leg #1 and paul is #2.
Macho New Truck
Paul got a 2005 Nissan Truck. The dealership delivered it at 9:30 pm. It didn’t make it in the garage before a neighbor came running over to take a look. The next morning he almost got out of the drive way before someone wanted to talk about it. It took about three weeks and pitting the dealerships against each other to settle on a price.
Run Away Car
My car escaped out of the garage, down the drive way, hit my neighbors car and crossed the street to take out the mail box. I was exhaused from being in Oakland all week. Remembered I left my lamination machine on and didn’t get the parking brake on tight enough. It took a week to get it into the shop. 8 days in the shop (because Allstate wouldn’t come over to approve the hidden damage). and over $3,000 worth of repairs.
1/2 Marathon 2005
It was a couple of weeks earlier this year. Our mileage increased really quickly. The run itself was much better this year. I wasn’t nursing an injury and the weather was coooool. It even rained a bit. For a couple of miles i considered putting my jacket back on. By the end of the 13.1 miles I was so done. How did I ever finish a marathon?
