The Chipmunks of Wilderland

June 10th 2004 by Leisa in general

chipmunkPaul was the wild life photographer for this one. He had to break out the old Kodak because we lent out our new camera to Jon & Beth. I have a false sense of owning the land my house sits on. It seems I rent it from the local wild life.

I am fond of the chipmunks. When I see them on the front deck, I’ll go out and leave them sunflower seeds. This does hype them up a bit and they run around like they are slightly possessed. One jumped up on the ledge of the window and looked in the house. I am in no way responsible for the actions of this chipmunk. I was at work. I have witnesses for my alibi.

Chipmunks are small striped squirrels (genus Tamias) in North America.
