My Birthday was Monday. Paul took me to the Burd’s Nest B&B in Yachats, Oregon. (Pronounced “Ya-Hots”) We stayed Sunday Night in the Swallow’s Nest Room. You can see and smell the ocean
The innkeeper Joni is lovely and made us an early breakfast so we could go out on the sea. Joni even let us feed the Burd’s Nest raccoons. I highly recommend walking the beaches at the Yachats State Recreational Area. There are amazing tide pools full of sea life. (Urchins grab back by the way…) Paul treated me to a whale watching boat ride on the Discovery in Newport. We had so much birthday fun that someone asked us if we were newlyweds.
